VITALIZE PEEL

VITALIZE PEEL FOR VIBRANT SKIN

Even an excellent daily skin care regimen cannot remove dead cells at the rate the body replaces them. Regular chemical peels accelerate skin exfoliation, reviving a dull complexion and improving visible skin imperfections. Dr. Jeanine Downie offers the Vitalize Peel for patients in the Montclair, NJ area who want to maintain refreshed, radiant-looking skin.

THE PEEL PROCESS

A Vitalize Peel is a ten-minute appointment, with time to answer your questions and prep your skin thoroughly.

Skin is cleansed, then the clinician applies a thin coating of the proprietary Vitalize Peel solution. You feel tingling and possibly slight stinging as the special blend of chemicals gets to work clearing away dead skin cells. This peel is well-tolerated, and any discomfort typically resolves quickly. We are also happy to take extra steps, such as a cooling fan, to keep you comfortable.

We check your progress periodically. When the peel has had time for optimal effect, skin is cleansed again, and protected with high-quality moisturizer and sunscreen. You may return to normal activities without downtime, and wear makeup. We provide post-procedure at home instructions to ensure the best results.

Usually a series of peels, spaced three to four weeks apart, is recommended for initial improvement in:

  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Skin roughness
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Dark spots from acne scarring (in conjunction with laser therapy for deeper, pitted scars)

Then, regular re-treatment keeps skin looking youthful. Dr. Downie has a chemical peel once a month!

ALL ABOUT CHEMICAL PEELS AT IMAGE DERMATOLOGY® P.C. EXPLAINED BY JEANINE B. DOWNIE, M.D.
Are you someone struggling to decide which chemical peel should you choose? In this video, Dr. Jeanine B. Downie gives an introduction to different kinds of chemical peels available at her practice image Dermatology ® P.C. and re-assures that chemical peels are not only for men.

What are the popular chemical peels at image Dermatology ® P.C.?

The VI peel, Rejuvenize peel, and the Vitalize peel would be the three most popular chemical peels that we have at our office, image Dermatology ® P.C.

Do you offer any other peels apart from the popular ones?

Another type of peel we use in our practice is the glycolic acid peel. It is an unbuffered peel that helps with texture, tone, acne, and fine lines.

My patients love this peel. It is light, can be slightly irritating but helps towards clear and more even skin tone.

Why should one get a chemical peel, and is it only for women?

Most of the women these days don’t like to wear makeup or prefer to wear less makeup. So a chemical peel helps them get what they want.

I strongly advocate that men have chemical peels too. I have a lot of males visiting my practice to have chemical peels, and they love them as well.

WHAT SETS VITALIZE APART?

The Vitalize Peel is safe for all skin types, including dark complexions. The solution contains salicylic acid, resorcinol, lactic acid, panthenol, and other key ingredients for gentle yet thorough exfoliation.
