KERALASE™ HAIR RESTORATION THERAPY FOR THINNING HAIR

Dr. Jeanine Downie, KeraLase Montclair

If you are looking for ways to improve thinning hair, boost lost volume, or restore a more youthful hairline, you are not alone. Unwanted hair loss affects an estimated one in five Americans, and it does not just affect men or those who are older. In fact, up to 20 percent of people with hair loss are under the age of 30, and both men and women can suffer from it. At image Dermatology ® P.C. in Montclair, NJ, we offer a variety of treatments to help restore healthy hair volume and growth, including the revolutionary new KeraLase™ hair restoration therapy. he kerafactor contains 5 growth factors, stem cells, and other scalp proteins. It works on all races and both sexes. As long as you have hair follicles, it should be successful. This requires a minimum of six to eight treatment sessions and then I recommend coming in every three months for maintenance.

HOW KERALASE WORKS TO RESTORE YOUR HAIR

KeraLase is a novel treatment from Lutronic, a highly regarded aesthetic technology company, that combines two effective therapies into one treatment for incredible results:

  • Lutronic LaseMD® laser treatment
  • KeraFactor® serum application

First, the Lutronic LaseMD® laser is applied all over your scalp to help optimize your scalp’s absorption properties. This is done first as a pre-conditioning treatment because your skin is designed by nature to keep things out, rather than letting them in; the LaseMD helps prepare your skin for the second component of the treatment, KeraFactor® hair growth serum, by opening up the channels of the hair follicles so they are better able to absorb the serum. After the LaseMD treatment is complete, which takes about five minutes, the KeraFactor serum is topically applied to your scalp, to help promote thicker, stronger, and fuller hair in both women and men. The KeraFactor serum consists of high concentrations of five growth factors and two types of skin proteins, which are is designed to target the issues that can lead to hair loss and an unhealthy scalp. Nanoliposomes are used to optimally deliver the proteins and growth factors after your scalp has been conditioned with the LaseMD laser, which has been shown to increase absorption of these particles.

Actual Patient Results

KeraLase is extremely versatile—it can be used on both women and men, and on all types of skin and hair. It is important to be aware that it will not work for scarring alopecia, so Dr. Downie will first evaluate and diagnose the reason for your hair loss before recommending the best treatment approach.

What is KeraLase™?

Hi, I am Dr. Jeanine Downie. I am a board-certified dermatologist. I have practiced in Montclair, NJ, and I am a cosmetic dermatologist. I’d love to talk to you about KeraLase™.

KeraLase™ is a technology by the Lutronic Company. It helps to grow hair, and I mean it because there are a lot of things that promise to grow hair that actually do not.

How does KeraLase™ work?

In the KeraLase™ technology, the laser is placed on the scalp, and the laser helps open the hair follicles’ channels. The laser treatment itself is replacing PRP as a method for opening the channels of the scalp.

You don’t have to use a needle. You’re using a laser device that’s good for all skin types, for both males and females.

Once channels of the hair follicles are open, then you take the proprietary KeraFactor®, which has cytokines and stem cells in it, and you rub that into the scalp. You massage it in, and the patient goes on their way.

I recommend no baseball cap, no scarf, or nothing to cover the scalp for at least three hours afterward, and I recommend not washing the hair for two days later so the KeraFactor® can sink deep into the scalp.

What is the process of KeraLase™ treatment?

What KeraFactor® does is help to regenerate the hair follicle. I use the KeraLase™ treatment along with Nutrafol.

Nutrafol is one of my absolute favorites in terms of the fact that it is four pills a day in the morning. There is a product for women, postpartum women, menopausal women, and also for men.

Finally, we team KeraLase™ and the Nutrafol with Lambdapil. Lambdapil is a shampoo and a spray. I recommend the shampoo once a week and the spray once or twice a week. I use all three of them together as a winning combination to help defeat hair loss.

Most patients achieve the best results with a treatment plan that consists of treatment every two weeks for six treatment sessions, followed by three treatments per year for maintenance therapy. However, Dr. Jeanine Downie will help you determine the best course of treatment for your individual hair and desired results. Due to the way KeraLase stimulates hair growth, patients continue to see improvements in their hair for 12 to 18 months following treatment.

Are you someone looking for a solution to grow your hair back? Look no further. KeraLase™ is a procedure that will help you to gro your hair back. Watch this video as Jeanine B. Downie, M.D. explains all about KeraLase™.

What is KeraLase™ treatment?

Hair growth is a huge industry in dermatology, and I’ve been looking at PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma.

I’ve been looking at different treatments for years and not figuring what I wanted to offer for hair growth in my practice.

KeraLase™ is a procedure that is enabling me to grow hair back on my male and female patients of all ethnicities.

I am personally using it, and I’m having my physician assistant Megan do it on my hairline because my hair was even thinner there than it looks right now, and it’s helping it grow in some.

How does KeraLase™ treatment work?

KeraLase™ is a new cutting-edge laser technology that you just literally put on the hair. It opens up the hair follicles’ channels either on the frontal hairline or all over the scalp.

Then you rub in something called KeraFactor, which are stem cells and growth factor in it, and it helps your hair grow back-in significantly.

How long is the KeraLase™ treatment procedure?

KeraLase™ is roughly one session, and we prefer every two weeks. But some of our patients, because of time and constraints, can only come once a month.

The results are lasting, so we typically ask patients to do six to eight treatment sessions. We have them do maintenance where they come in three times a year because we don’t want to lose everything that we gained.

The procedure is very quick. Even for a full scalp, it just takes perhaps 15 minutes. If you’re doing the frontal hairline, it can be as short as five minutes.

What is the aftercare required for KeraLase™ treatment?

After the treatment, I don’t want you exercising that day because I don’t want you sweating it out. I don’t want you to wash your hair until two days after the procedure.
