Tips to naturally enhance Restylane treatment for lips
Consider some of plumpest pouts in Hollywood – Rihanna, Lorde, Angelina Jolie, Rita Ora, Nicki Minaj, Channing Tatum . . . Many of those show stopping smiles are likely to be supplemented with Restylane-L. Part of the Medicis family of safe, effective rejuvenation solutions, Restylane was the first dermal filler approved by the FDA for lip enhancement in adults. This unique formulation adds fullness and definition that last up to six months.
Board certified dermatologist, Dr. Jeanine Downie, is expertly skilled in the use of Restylane to help patients throughout the Essex Fells area enjoy luscious lips. Dr. Downie prides herself in making everyone look natural and simply enhances your own individual beauty. She also shares these tips for keeping lips looking their best after Restylane treatment.
Brush your lips
It sounds a little strange, but exfoliating your lips with a wash cloth removes dead skin cells. Sealed with natural lip balm afterward, they’ll look radiant and youthful. Always add SPF 30 to your lips and reapply throughout the day.
Spice is nice
A tiny bit of cinnamon or cinnamon oil blended into lip balm gives lips a temporary puff (and a nice scent) for special occasions. Be cautious, though – it can cause irritation if skin is sensitive.
Wetter is better
Lips that are dry and cracked look smaller and unattractive. Keep them well hydrated from within by drinking plenty of water, and moisturized on the outside with a high-quality lipstick. A good rule of thumb is to re-apply each time you use the restroom.
Makeup magic
Using a shade lighter than your facial skin tone, dot and blend concealer around your mouth and on your lips before applying a light colored lipstick. Those paler tones add visual fullness.
Front and center
A dab of shiny lip gloss (one with sparkle is even better) just at the center of each lip draws attention to middle of the mouth, accentuating lip fullness.
It is important to take good care of your lips – they are part of your overall complexion, and more delicate than the rest of your skin. But no matter how high-quality, there is no topical treatment or makeup that can match the lip enhancement of Restylane treatment in the hands of a qualified, experienced dermatologist.
